On their way to a convincing win over the Redskins on Monday night, the Pittsburgh Steelers dominated defensively and did just enough offensively to close the deal. The 23-6 final was just, and left no doubt as to which was the better team midway through the 2008 season.

As far as parity goes, the beginning of this NHL season has been lacking. Take a look at the standings, and tell me that anything outside of Dallas and Ottawa’s early struggles really surprises you. The Steelers were unfortunately forced to release Mitch Berger because NFL teams can’t carry an injured punter who can only kick the ball 30 yards. A sad reality of the game, really. So instead we’re back with preseason castoff Paul Ernster, he of the annoying back-of-the-arm tattoos
